Happy New Year!
I recently got a Schis walli from Jon and it was beautiful. I'm in Cali, so after about 10 days, I transfered it from the 100% PEAR-LL-ite to an aroid mix. However, I have overheard Jon state that he used to kill these, until he figured out a growing medium that works. Mine has since gone down hill, but is pupping. I wouldn't say it's dead, just brown edging and a little droopy. New leaf was smaller than the previous leaves, etc.
Does anyone have experience with Schismatoglottis wallichii variegated, and the ideal requirements for this plant (soil medium, watering, PH)? I am growing in a heated greenhouse outdoors, and have plenty of other thriving plants right next to this one. I started collecting from Mike back in 2006, and thus have been pretty seasoned over the years, though I'm always learning!
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!
