I remember watching a few videos a year ago about avoiding fertilizer burn by watering the plants first and then watering with fertilizer. I'm wondering if that's really necessary. Do you follow this practice or do you just water your plants with fertilizer immediately?
@AttackMonstera we use a water soluable fertilizer at low dose so we just water & feet at the same time. Use low doses with indoor plants and you have no issues
I've always done a good deep soak first to make sure the soil is fully saturated and then after a 15-20 minute wait, come back and apply liquid fertizlier. Maybe its nothing, maybe it helps prevent any potenital burn, maybe its actually preventing the fertizler from actually being fully utilized..who knows lol.
I haven't lost any plants though due to over-fertilzing since I started this (dont ask) and they all seem fairly happy so I'm going to keep doing it.
